Alpamayo has already been named the most beautiful mountain in the world! A snow pyramid with a perfect shape; it lives up to this title. It is like the typical image of a mountain in our imagination. Alpamayo sees its fair share of ascents every year even though it is not one of the easier mountains in the region. To reach the summit we will climb the Ferrari Route that cuts through the center of the southwest face. Most of the route the goes up a snow and ice couloirs at an angle of 55-60°. There are two difficult sections to pass. One is 10 meters at 80° and another at 65° to reach the summit. We will descent by the same route doing a series of rappels.

Peru is great to discover. It offers breathtaking landscapes: the oceanic coast, tropical forests, high alpine plateaus, its colourful and welcoming people and its history which has fascinated more than one. Our trip will focus on the Cordillera Blanca mountain range. This mountain range is located in the northern region of the country.
It culminates more than 6750m and counts not less than 25 peaks over 6000m. Conditions encountered in these mountains are variable. An impressive phenomenon in this region is the formation of soft snow ridge that hold at 60 ° of inclination which is unbelievable until you are standing next to them. The Cordillera Blanca has several impressive mountains.
For this trip we will go to the Santa Cruz area to live the experience of a true mountain expedition. We will focus our efforts on two of the most beautiful mountains.
To help us transport our equipment to the basecamp we will be using the local muleteer services. As an expedition you will still need to carry some of the equipment; after all it is your experience. We believe it is by actively taking part in the expedition that you will live the full mountaineering experience and fell part of the climbing community.
Preparing meals and organizing food is something that requires lots of time in the mountains. Since everything has to be ready at the right time we will hire a professional Peruvian cook and porter. The cook and porter has received formal training.
From the time you sign up for the trip we will be there to help to make sure are going to be ready for the big day.

We will use taxis for every other transport around Huaraz.

Plan B, if the conditions on Alpamayo are not good.
Even though this mountain is a little higher than Alpamayo, the route is a little easier but just as spectacular. It offers a great view of Alpamayo and is a good preparation for the next day’s climb.
We will climb up long snow slopes at 45° to reach the summit ridge. The ridge will lead us to the summit with sections at 55° and an impression of void, because we will often see both the north and south faces at once on each side of our feet. Simply amazing!
